Our Team


Over the past 13 years, Flynn Management & Contractors Ltd has developed a team of highly skilled and educated personnel, whose experience in the industry spans over a diverse range of sectors in the industry.

The individual competencies of our team is combined with our integrated management structure which ensures our client delivery standards are among the highest in the industry. Our quality approach begins with our own personnel to ensure our investment in our team members is reciprocated to the client through the ideals and standards we create through the company philosophy.

We maintain a flattened management structure to ensure all team members are part of an interactive and continuously improving organisation. This has ensured our team is continually growing and that Flynn Management & Contractors is the first choice for clients whose requirements are always prioritised.

 

Kevin Flynn

Managing Director

Kevin is co – founder of Flynn Management & Contractors Ltd and is responsible for all aspects of Construction Management with a particular focus on the commercial side of the business. Kevin has worked in the industry for more than 30 years and his experience has resulted in a very strong client base and order book, ensuring the business remains on a very strong financial footing, enabling us to put in place financial guarantee bonds for our clients where required on large projects. Kevin has overseen the rapid growth of the company in the past three years by ensuring that the high quality principle of the Flynn brand is communicated throughout the organisation

Mick Flynn MCIOB

Construction Director

As one of the founding directors of Flynn Management & Contractors, Mick has been intrinsically involved in the growth of the company, building the business into the successful quality and service provider that it is today.  Mick is the driving force behind all construction operations undertaken by the company. He provides the leadership required to successfully complete the diverse range of projects that make up the Flynn Management & Contractors company portfolio. His proven experience along with his ethos for excellence in quality, safety and delivery has established a valuable reputation in the industry which is reflected in the high levels of repeat business among many of Ireland’s leading companies such as Google, DAA, Twitter, Aviva Investors, Eircom, Fáilte Ireland, LinkedIn, and many more.

Derek Murphy

Regional Director

Derek Murphy has been part of our Team as Financial Director for over 10 years and was appointed to the Main Board of Directors in 2015. With over 20 years experience in both London and Ireland Derek has worked across all sectors for both public bodies and private clients. Derek has played a key role in the strategic planning & growth of Flynn Management & Contractors, since its inception and set up our Regional office in Limerick in 2015 where he heads up a growing team that serve our regional clients. 

Leo Harmon

Director

Leo joined Flynn Management & Contractors in 2016 and works with the Executive Team, assisting and advising on structure and building our team as we look forward to further growth. Leo has vast experience in the industry and is noted for his ability to relate well to Clients, his problem solving skills and his approachable nature. His thorough practical knowledge and experience, skills in negotiating and commercial focus makes Leo a highly valued member of our team and will ensure that we have the strategy in place to grow our team while providing the quality service our reputation demands.

William O’Brien

Commercial Director

William joined the company in 2015 to oversee the Estimating and Procurement Departments. William carries a wide range of experience from high end interior fit outs, hi tech sector and also in general contracting. William is one of the leading professionals in Construction Management contracts in Ireland and his experience ensures the successful procurement of these projects for our clients. William is a  Chartered Quantity Surveyor and in 2016 through our continued growth has assumed the responsibility as Commercial Director. He leads all Commercial Managers and Our Estimating Team within the business to ensure that all aspects of the projects are captured and to meet the exacting requirements of our client teams.

Cormac McKenna

Projects Director

Cormac joined Flynn Management & Contractors in 2009 as Contracts Manager and brings with him a wealth of experience, working in Commercial, Retail, Infrastructural, Life Science and Healthcare sectors. Upon joining Flynn management & Contractors, Cormac was tasked with the completion of the DAA Terminal 2 Builders Work package which he delivered successfully. Cormac has a proven track record in the successful delivery of mission critical projects in Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. Cormac as Project Director provide leadership and guidance to our Project Teams and continues to deliver successful projects for our Infrastructure clients. 

Eddie Cassidy

Projects Director

Eddie joined Flynn Management & Contractors as a Contracts Manager. With 20 years’ experience in working with top tier companies in the construction industry and managing many high profile clients, Eddie brings a wealth of knowledge in managing diverse and complex projects. Eddie has a proven track record in the successful delivery of mission critical projects and provides leadership and as Project Director provides guidance to his project teams. Eddie places a strong emphasis on performance, quality, teamwork and a “hands-on” management approach to ensure client satisfaction.

Fergal Duffy

Projects Director

Fergal Duffy has joined our growing team and brings a wealth of experience having delivered large marquee projects in the Commercial, Healthcare and Retail Sectors in his previous roles. Fergal is noted for his team building and drive and as Project Director acts as a key link between the client/design team and the project team. Fergal’s experience in the delivery of large scale Shell and Core projects ensures we are best placed to continue to deliver key projects for our clients.

Aubyn Thompson

Preconstruction & Services Lead

Aubyn joined Flynn Management & Contractors to lead our Pre-construction Team. His role is to lead all projects from inception/bid stage and provides planning and technical support to all clients & project teams. His experience spans over 25 years in the construction industry and he has vast experience in Design & Build projects. Whilst assisting with the initial project master planning to support our operations teams Aubyn has overseen the development of relationships with key blue chip clients.  As part of his previous roles with other organisations he assisted developing the Mission Critical Divisions, both locally and internationally and has delivered several large data centres in the role of Project Lead.  

Barry O'Brien MCIOB

Chief Estimator

Barry joined the team in 2016 as Chief Estimator. He is responsible for overseeing the estimating process for all projects bid and establishes standardized procedures, methods and processes for the estimating team. Barry has over 30 years extensive Construction experience in both Ireland and the UK working across multiple sectors.

Keith Sutton

Commercial Manager

Keith joined Flynn Management & Contractors Ltd in 2006 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with responsibility for day to day cost management of the company’s project portfolio. In his time with the company he has progressed to Commercial Manager.  Keith is heavily involved with key clients such as DAA and has sole responsibility for management of the medium to larger scale company projects reporting to company directors. Additionally, Keith delegates projects and maintains a watching brief over the Quantity Surveying Department within the organisation.

Danny Murphy

Commercial Manager

Danny joined Flynn Management & Contractors in 2015 as Quantity Surveyor and quickly progressed to Commercial Manager. Danny’s main responsibilities include: the identification of requirements; tendering; development of project briefs; design development; preparation of estimates and the development and negotiation of same from inception through to completion. 

Noel Cusack

Contracts Manager

Noel joined Flynn Management & Contractors in 2015 and brings a wealth of experience in large scale commercial projects having successfully project managed the Residential and Retail Development at the Titanic Quarter Belfast (€75m), extension and refurbishment of Laois Shopping Centre (€45m) and the Cumberland House Project (€36m).  Noel is responsible for overseeing the complete Landlord Refurbishment Package from tender to completion.

 

Gary Keenan

Contracts Manager

Gary has  over 15 years experience in the Construction Industry.  As Contracts Manager, he is responsible for the pre-construction, planning, execution and closing of the project. Gary has successfully project managed many projects, and his ability to deliver projects on time and in budget has earned him many repeat clients for the company. His understanding of business requirements and expectations will ensure the successful delivery of all projects he is involved in. 

 

Barry Keenan FCIOB

Contracts Manager

Barry joined Flynn Management & Contractors in 2005 as a Site Manager and is one of our longest serving team members. Through his career to date, he has developed and progressed into the role of Contracts Manager for the company. Barry has successfully delivered numerous key projects for Flynn Management & Contractors, including Terminal 2 Dublin Airport, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Office amalgamation project and has led multiple high profile national retail roll outs for clients such as 02 & 3 Ireland. Barry now leads our Services and Facilities team which specialise in servicing our existing clients and expanding our client base, while often carrying out fast paced projects within live environments.

Sean Quinn

Contracts Manager

Sean has over 27 year’s experience working in the Irish and UK construction industries working in sectors such as  Hospitality, Leisure , Commercial, Retail, Residential , Education and HealthCare . Sean has vast experience in managing works from sub structures through to full fitouts, having worked on Hotels , Leisure Centres , Schools, Apartment Blocks, Office Buildings , Care Homes, Residential and Listed Buildings. Sean has the experience and skill required to deliver projects and ensure safety, quality, cost and programme are maintained to the highest standard throughout the project.

 

Keith Oliver

Contracts Manager

After starting his career with an International Construction Company as a placement Site Engineer, Keith gained 13 years of extensive experience with on a vast array of projects. Keith graduated up to Senior Engineer, Project Manager & Contracts Manager during his time here, and completed the successful management of many projects, such as the Bombardier C-Series Aerospace project in Belfast. Keith has been involved the successful management of multiple projects from Advanced Technology Facilities, Schools, HSE Health Care installations and Third level education buildings. His attention to detail, team management and drive to meet client expectations ensure progressive project completion from inception to handover.

Brian Looney

Contracts Manager

Brian joined the company in 2016 as a Contracts Manager and has over 25 years’ experience in the Construction Industry. Brian spent his first 10 years over seeing a range of Construction Projects in the residential and retail sectors. To broaden his knowledge base he joined one of Irelands largest Structural Steel companies and spent 10 years as Operations Director. A portfolio of large projects, including Croke Park Roof, Whitegate Gas Power plant and M50 Steel bridges were all successfully managed and completed. A return to main stream construction followed and involvement in the successful completion of projects in the Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Office and Fit Out industries. Brian has a broad skill base and the experience required to consistently manage teams to deliver projects to the highest Client expectations whilst also delivering on Safety, Cost and Programme.

Stephen Daly

Contracts Manager

Stephen joined Flynn Management & Contractors in February 2017 and brings a bespoke knowledge of Design & Build Contracts as the Principle Contractor, modern methods of construction, innovative construction techniques and off-site construction expertise to the Flynn Management & Contractors team. As Contracts Manager, he is responsible for the pre-construction, planning, execution and closing of various projects. Stephen has gained extensive experience of the UK and ROI construction industry across multiple sectors and disciplines. Stephen’s proven track record of meeting and exceeding the expectations of multiple clients has demonstrated the necessary skill & determination to deliver specialist and challenging construction projects.

His enthusiasm, leadership skills and determination for excellence is infectious across his project teams ensuring the highest level of safety, quality, cost and time control is achieved for each client.

Breda Treacy

Health & Safety Manager

Breda joined Flynn Management & Contractors in 2015 to head up the Health & Safety Department.  She has over 10 years’ construction based Health & Safety experience, working in both Ireland and the UK. Breda’s experience spans from working on large scale shell & core, mechanical & electrical, design & build & refurbishment projects. She will ensure the successful planning, monitoring & controlling of the Health and Safety Management systems of all projects, as well as support the company in the development and implementation of their Safety, Quality & Environmental management systems in line with recognised standards and supporting the development of safe systems of work in line with statutory obligations.

AnneMarie Uí Chuireáin

Financial Controller

AnneMarie joined Flynn Management & Contractors as Assistant Financial Controller in 2015 and has since progressed to Financial Controller within the company. Having graduated from NUI Maynooth with an Honours Degree in Finance and Accounting, AnneMarie joined PriceswaterhouseCoopers in Dublin and subsequently Doody Crowley where she was admitted to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She gained extensive experience working on large audit engagement across multiple sectors for large international and domestic companies in Ireland. AnneMarie has overall responsibility for the management and running of the Finance Function and has been instrumental in the development of the procedures, controls and systems within the Department.
