7 Grand Canal | Dublin | 2015

1970’s building brought back to life for Insurance giant

Our client had the vision of transforming this 1970’s building which is part of its pension portfolio, into a bright and fresh office space for its tenants. The full height Atrium put in place allows natural light and ventilation throughout the building which illuminates the staff and clients on arrival.

The key to meeting the client’s vision was our expert construction team and collaboration with the design team throughout the project. The 7 Grand Canal building has been rejuvenated. The heavy grade refurbishment involved stripping back the building to its core and tie ins for the new atrium to the building. The structural alterations allowed for a more flexible and open workspace where staff could work in the new state of the art settings. A double level reception was created giving clients a feeling of welcome. New window systems were installed which gives the staff a feeling of working in the outdoors such is the amount of natural ventilation in the building.

THE OUTCOME

7 Grand Canal is now a modern office space in the heart of Dublin City. The full height Atrium allowed views of Grand Canal and suggests a welcoming office space. Importantly, it fulfills our client’s commitment to providing a work-space filled natural light and ventilation and in turn doing good for the environment.
