Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin is Dublin’s largest pediatric hospital that opened back in 1956. The hospital has over 325 beds and approximately 1,900 WTE staff. Last year they had 10,739 inpatient cases, 20,396 day cases, and 38,159 emergency attendances. Pre-pandemic a few staff members from the engagement team visited Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin to present a cheque of €12,000 from the fundraising events throughout the year. The hospital staff showed great appreciation and gratitude for them money that they will use for patients and families using the hospital services today.
What We Donated:
2 Stat Monitors St. Peter’s Ward - These are up-to-date hospital monitors that attach to the wall to allow nursing staff more access
throughout the room without disturbing the patient and their parents.
Children’s Entertainment Tablets Our Lady’s Ward - We donated multiple children entertainment systems that specially fit to the
child’s bed for easy access and use.
Patient and Family Educational Events Stoma Care Colorectal Ward - The purpose of these events is to bring families and children
together who have faced the same medical complexities. These events are held in a friendly environment so participants can
interact while doing fun and educational activities.
They supply bouncy houses, food, and other child friendly entertainment with events running twice throughout the year.
