Flynn has successfully delivered a major expansion project for Ei Electronics in Shannon, enhancing the company's manufacturing, warehousing and research capabilities through the construction of a state-of-the-art new facility.
The project involved the construction of a major extension to the existing Ei Electronics campus, providing approximately 5,100 m² of new floor space across a high-bay warehouse and a three-storey office, manufacturing and research and development facility. The development has been designed to enhance operational efficiency, increase capacity and support the future growth of one of Ireland's leading manufacturers of home life safety products.
In addition to the new warehouse and operational accommodation, the project included the delivery of loading facilities, dock levellers, sprinkler infrastructure, water storage facilities and upgrades to the campus entrance. These improvements create a modern, high-performance environment that supports manufacturing, warehousing, commercial operations and product development, all located within the company's Shannon headquarters
Delivered within a live and fully operational campus, the project required careful planning and close coordination to ensure ongoing business activities could continue safely throughout construction. Through proactive project management and collaboration with the client and design team, Flynn successfully delivered a facility that will support Ei Electronics' continued innovation and long-term growth while strengthening its position as a global leader in home life safety solutions.
